The composition depicts a scene of great formal balance and strong symbolic intensity: at the center a classical temple opens, set at the far end of a checkerboard floor and flanked by two monumental columns. Above the temple soars the compass team, universal emblem of measurement, rectitude and inner construction. The entire scene is framed by an ornamental structure that gives the work a solemn, almost ritual character, like a symbolic board preserved through time.

The two lateral columns, topped respectively by a pomegranate and a globe, recall the traditional iconography of Freemasonry and symbolize stability, knowledge and passage toward a sacred and orderly space. At the top, the sun and moon, accompanied by stars, evoke cosmic duality and the ongoing dialogue between light and shadow, reason and intuition, day and night. In the center, the temple with the letter “G” reinforces the reference to geometry, knowledge and the ordering principle of the universe.

In the foreground appear some of the deepest symbols of the Initiatic path: the rough stone and the polished stone, representation of man in his original condition and his gradual perfection; the square, the gavel and the plumb line, tools that recall work, discipline, rectitude and the construction of the self. Each element is placed with rigour and contributes to creating a scene rich in meaning, designed for those who recognize in the symbol a language of knowledge.

The print is especially careful and renders every detail of the composition with precision: capitals, the chiaroscuro of the temple, the celestial symbols, the texture of the stones and the definition of the tools are sharp and clearly legible. The visual rendering is rich, harmonious and of strong impact, capable of highlighting both the artistic and symbolic dimension of the work.

The canvas support further enhances the tapestry, giving it a material, solid and refined presence. The visible weave of the fabric dialogues harmoniously with the print and enhances its artistic character, giving the piece an authentic and sought-after appearance.

In the lower right, there is a red wax seal with an affiliation symbol, a distinctive detail that adds personality to the work and evokes authenticity, custodianship and tradition.
