Night Garden II - NO RESERVE is an original, signed acrylic painting and pastel by Devon (1993), created in 2026 in the United Kingdom, measuring 60 cm by 39.5 cm, in excellent condition, depicting a nocturnal still life garden.
Description from the seller
“Night Garden II” by Devon evokes the quiet mystery of a garden after dark. Against a deep black ground, clusters of vivid green foliage emerge alongside scattered flowers in white, lavender, pink and muted blue. Small circular marks, delicate outlines and loose, meandering lines weave between the leaves, creating the impression of a garden seen in fragments, where individual blooms appear and disappear within the darkness.
The painting combines expressive, almost botanical forms with a more intuitive, abstract approach to composition. Contrasting textures and chalk-like marks lend the flowers a luminous quality, while the dark background intensifies the greens and soft pastel colours. Balancing the familiarity of a floral painting with the spontaneity of contemporary abstract art, Devon creates an atmospheric nocturnal garden that feels both playful and contemplative, inviting the viewer to discover new details with each closer look.
