Oval basin in solid brass, an authentic historical and antique piece dating back to the 19th century.

In a time before the introduction of modern domestic plumbing, basins of this type were used in historic homes as lavatories for toilets or as service receptacles. Today they are collectible items of great charm and aesthetic impact, ideal for enriching interiors in classic, rustic, country chic styles or for prop and shop window set design.

The object has been entirely handmade starting from a single brass sheet/plate. The interior and exterior surfaces clearly show the hammering marks and the reliefs typical of 19th-century artisanal metalworking.

Made from thick, high-grade brass with a substantial weight of 2.170 kg, a testament to the quality of the sheet used, far from modern lightweight metal reproductions.

As is customary for brass tableware and toilet accessories intended for daily use in the 1800s, the item bears no factory marks or industrial stamps, confirming its origin as an artisanal workshop product.
