Three porcelain vases from Germany, including two Lindner Küps Bavaria large cobalt blue vases with gold stamps and one Alka Bavaria small vase with Echt Kobalt glaze and hand-applied gold vine decoration.
Description from the seller
2x The Large Vases: Lindner Kueps Bavaria
The dark cobalt glazed underside confirms that the large vases were manufactured by the prestigious German porcelain maker Lindner in Küps, Bavaria
The Hallmarks: The gold stamp reads "Lindner Kueps Bavaria, Made in Germany, Echt Cobalt" along with the design numbers 801 / 6. "Echt Cobalt" indicates that true cobalt oxide was mixed directly into the glaze before firing, creating that deep, brilliant signature blue.
1 x The small vase : Alka Bavaria porcelain mark.
Upon a closer look at the script written in gold beneath the green factory stamp, there is an additional line:
• "Echt Kobalt" (Genuine Cobalt) is written in a looping script above the pattern name "Spätlese".
This means that despite having a white unglazed base ring and interior, the exterior body of this middle vase was also crafted using a true cobalt oxide glaze mixture. The small gold initials to the bottom left are the decorator's or gilder's personal mark, showing that the trailing golden vine pattern was applied by hand.
