Rare edition with a beautifully gold-embossed contemporary leather binding. With gold coat-of-arms superscribed on the front and back, as well as gold-embossed spine and gilded edges.
The binding is heavily rubbed. The joints are cracked at the bottom, the spine shows small losses at the top and bottom. Front and back boards show some slight leather loss (partially raised in places) as well as occasional damage. The edges are bumped and the gold cut is somewhat faded.
The title page is very badly creased, and the outer edge, at the top and bottom, shows losses. The following leaf is similarly creased and has a loss of text at the bottom. Overall, the first six leaves are creased, tapering in severity from leaf to leaf.
The remaining pages are in good condition, with some browning and a few stains, and occasional light marginal stains.
