AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Rarest Swiss chronograph Ernest Borel Neuchatel, a very prestigious emblem in a rare model of wrist chronograph, made between the late 1940s and the very early 1950s.
About 37 mm, crown excluded, it houses a rare Landeron 148, just overhauled in January 2026, and it has a dial truly very well preserved with very few signs of wear.
The signs of wear are visible and are mainly on the lugs and on the chrome-plated case body, where the chrome is only partially present, a clear indication of the watch’s extensive use over the decades. A watch that is 3/4 of a century old and a truly rare piece of a hallmark that made a piece of history in the world of watches precisely between the 1940s and the 1980s, when Ernest Borel also produced watches for Tiffany and sold at auction for figures above 200,000 euros.
Hard to find an Ernest Borel chronograph on the Web for less than 1100 euros.
An exclusive watch which, as written above, has been serviced just over two months ago and I can guarantee it works well.
I also looked into the costs of galvanic plating, and they are modest (between 30 and 50 euros), but in my province I did not find professionals who perform this kind of work, and I leave you the freedom to decide.
The strap is new and is made of elastic steel plates/sheets, with the hidden clasp. If you want I can ship it with a leather strap that I will replace before shipping.
