DOGMA Prima Jumbo – AS/ST 1130 – 15 Jewels – 40 mm – 1950s

Magnificent Dogma Prima Jumbo, a large Swiss mechanical wristwatch manufactured during the 1950s, equipped with the well-known manual-wind AS/ST 1130 movement with 15 jewels.

It stands out especially for its large case of approximately 40 mm without crown, an exceptional size for a wristwatch of that era and one of the main attractions of this Jumbo model.

Its beautiful dial features an elaborate two-tone design, with a central silver zone decorated with geometric motifs and a wide textured gold outer ring, accompanied by large applied Arabic numerals. At 6 o’clock we find the small seconds, also finely decorated.

On the dial appear the inscriptions DOGMA PRIMA – ANCRE 15 RUBIS – ANTIMAGNETIC – SWISS MADE.

Calibre AS/ST 1130

Inside it houses the AS/ST 1130, a classic Swiss manual-wind mechanical movement produced by A. Schild (AS). It is a calibre widely used by different Swiss manufacturers and appreciated for its robust, simple, and reliable construction, features that have helped many examples to keep functioning to this day.

This example has 15 jewels and a small seconds at 6. The movement can be clearly observed in the photographs.

The back cover is signed DOGMA, with number 562802, and bears the inscriptions Antimagnetic – Swiss Made – Fond Acier Inoxydable – Lunette Plaqué Or G 10 Microns, corresponding to the stainless steel back and the 10-micron gold plating.
