Description from the seller

Very beautiful porcelain plate from China, said to be from the 'East India Company', dating from the early 18th century, Kangxi period.

The piece presents a refined central decoration, hand-painted, typical of productions intended for the European market, with the great finesse of Jingdezhen workshop execution.

A magnificent testament to maritime trade and to the taste for 'chinoiseries' in Europe during the Enlightenment.

This piece dates from the years 1700-1730.

It is in good overall condition, with only small nicks on the plate, some of which are original.
