Description from the seller
Wonderful oil painting on canvas depicting a landscape, created by the painter Anna Nascimbene Tallone (Casteggio 1901 - Pavia, 1961)
The work is signed on the back, there is a label dated 1962 that certifies the provenance of the piece from the renowned Gian Ferrari Gallery, which dedicated a solo exhibition to the artist the year after his death.
The Gian Ferrari Gallery is a historic Milanese art gallery founded in 1936 by Ettore Gian Ferrari and later run by his daughter Claudia Gian Ferrari, an important art historian and collector. The gallery has hosted memorable exhibitions focused on Italian Twentieth Century, Futurism, and artists such as Mario Sironi, Giorgio Morandi, and Arturo Martini. A few years before her death in 2010, Claudia Gian Ferrari donated part of her valuable private collection to the FAI (Fondo per l'Ambiente Italiano) exhibited at Villa Necchi Campiglio, and at the Museo del Novecento in Milan.
- Measurements with frame: 83 cm x 69 cm
- Canvas measurements: 65 cm x 50 cm
The work is in fair condition, with some cracks in the paint, and four very small losses of color in a few spots (roughly the size of a grain of rice).
Sold together with its original frame.
The object is cleaned and inspected before being professionally packed and shipped with insured and trackable shipping.
