Artist Biography:
Aurelio Damián (Valencia, 1960) is a Spanish painter whose work is characterized by figurative painting with a marked impressionist sensitivity, specializing in intimate scenes, feminine portraits, and domestic interiors bathed in a warm luminosity.
Born in Valencia in 1960, he showed from a young age a special inclination for drawing and painting. His artistic training was linked to the Valencian pictorial tradition, receiving influences from Mediterranean luminism and the great masters of European impressionism.
Throughout his career he developed a personal painting language, characterized by loose, delicate brushwork, a soft, pearlescent color palette, and a special mastery of the effects of natural light. His compositions often depict elegant female figures in everyday settings, surrounded by flowers, furniture, and domestic objects, conveying an atmosphere of serenity, elegance, and romance.
His painting stands out for its chromatic richness, the hazy treatment of form, and the harmony of his compositions, placing him within a figurative current inspired by post-impressionist and luminist influences.
Aurelio Damián’s work reflects a poetic vision of daily life, in which feminine beauty, intimacy, and Mediterranean light become the main protagonists.
