Antique Shirvan rug, 115 x 95 cm, circa 1900.
Wonderful rug with stunning designs.
The colors of the star-shaped medallions (organic dyes) stand out, along with the beauty of the small flowers in the medallions.
The corrosion of the black areas that form the background of the central field is clearly visible: it is natural corrosion caused by the iron content in the mordant, greater the older the rug.
Clean. No insect damage, no odors of animals or smoke.
A collector's piece.

Shirvan antico, 115 x 95 cm, intorno al 1900. Tappeto meraviglioso con disegni stupendi. Spiccano i colori dei medaglioni a forma di stella (coloranti organici) e la bellezza dei piccoli fiori nei medaglioni. La corrosione delle zone nere che formano lo sfondo del campo centrale è ben visibile: è una corrosione naturale causata dal ferro contenuto nel mordente, tanto maggiore quanto più è antico il tappeto. 
Pulito. Senza danni da insetti, senza odori di animali o di fumo.
