Wucai Figural & Landscape Brush Pot - Porcelain - China - 20th century

Description
A finely potted cylindrical brush pot with straight, gently proportioned walls, neatly finished rim and solid foot. The exterior is richly decorated in vibrant five-colour wucai enamels with an elegant narrative scene: a high-ranking official in elaborate robes, attended by a youth, set within a serene garden landscape of rocky outcrops, distant hills and attendant figures. The painting is executed with precise, flowing linework and a harmonious palette of soft greens, warm ochres, deep browns and subtle blues — capturing the poise and refinement of traditional scholarly storytelling decoration. A substantial, well-decorated piece ideal for desk display.
