Qiangjiangcai Scholar's Vessel - Porcelain - China - Early 20th century

Description
A tapering rectangular porcelain vessel of scholar’s form, finely painted in the subtle light-saturated qiangjiangcai palette on one face with an idyllic riverside landscape: a lone figure stands amidst misty hills and blossoming trees, while a boat drifts on distant waters — all rendered with soft washes and fluid brushwork. The reverse bears an elegant poetic inscription, dated and signed by the artist, accompanied by a red seal mark. Supported on four low bracket feet; the glaze shows a warm, softly aged patina throughout.

Dimensions:
Maximum length: approx. 14.4 cm

Condition
Chips / glaze loss to the foot rim;
Minor kiln fissure / glaze crack present;
