Art medal - Arno Malinowski - Hans Christian Andersen: 100e sterfdag 1975 - Georg Jensen

Silver commemorative medal for the 100th death anniversary of Hans Christian Andersen, made by the famous Georg Jensen silversmiths in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The commemorative medal shows on the front a portrait of Hans Christian Andersen looking to the right, with the text Hans Christian Andersen around it. On the back there is a depiction of a swan referring to the fairy tale 'The Ugly Duckling'. Also present is the designer Arno Malinovski's maker's mark, on the left the small Georg Jensen hallmark, and on the right the silver content 0.925.

The silver content is 0.925. The weight is a little over 99 grams. The diameter of the medal is 5.5 cm. It comes in the original Georg Jensen box. Reasonable condition, see the photos.
