Art Deco platinum ring set with 3.84 carats of natural diamonds, featuring a 2.50 carat old European cut central diamond and a double crown of surrounding diamonds, dating from the 1930s, size EU 54 (US 6 ¾), weight 8.10 g.
Description from the seller
Exceptional old-cut platinum target ring, fully set with 3.84 carats of natural diamonds
1930s
Cushioned table, arranged in tiers, of diameter 2 cm: it fully covers the phalanx
The centerpiece of this ring: its central old-cut diamond, 9 mm in diameter, calibrating 2.50 carats, protected by a bezel setting
Its color ranges from Champagne hues to warm golden yellow, with saturations more or less pronounced depending on the lighting ambiance: one could almost say it has moods, which gives it a very lively character and a unique personality
Its perfectly crystalline clarity is offset by a small shallow inclusion on the table, which disappears entirely in its brilliance
Its very regular cut produces a charming internal reflection effect called the Kozibé effect: the girdle reflects endlessly in the facets of the crown
The central diamond is highlighted by a double halo of old-cut diamonds
Diameter of the 14 diamonds of the inner crown: 2.2 mm (0.04 carats each)
Total weight 0.56
Diameter of the 26 diamonds of the outer crown: 2 mm (0.03 carats each)
Total weight 0.78
Total combined weight of pavé diamonds about 1.34 carats
Quality mixed estimated at G-H-I/ VS-SI (no crapaud)
Openwork basket of geometric motifs that lets the finger breathe
Ring with rectangular cross-section, with double attachments, decorated with small reinforcing rings
Authentic antique ring in its original condition, in excellent state of conservation, free from any repair or alteration
Ring size 54 - 6 3/4 - 17.2 mm
Weight 8.10 g
Dog-head hallmark for platinum (French manufacture)
By jewelry tradition, platinum, a matte-looking metal compared to 18K gray gold, is used for exclusive stones in order to enhance their brilliance and sparkle
Presentation box used for display not supplied with the ring
Fast and careful shipping by insured tracked parcel
