Description from the seller
1995 Ducati 916SP - 401St. - first 3,963km - 1st Hand - Model 1995 - First registration 2001
Over the years we have grown accustomed to handling Ducatis that take your breath away. Here too we are very proud to offer you a Ducati 916 SP that is truly unique.
This Ducati 916 SP has only 3,963 km on the clock and a registration entry in the Italian papers.
It is accident-free and upright and comes from the 1995 model year. It was bought as a new vehicle for an exclusive Ducati collection and first registered in 2001.
In the collection it was admired until 2022 and occasionally driven as well. This year we had the opportunity to acquire this unrestored dream bike. It passed on to a friendly Ducati enthusiast who has kept the vehicle in high regard to this day. Since he wanted to keep it as a first-hand vehicle, he did not re-register it. Now this unique bike is back with us. A dream for every true collector and a store of value for every connoisseur, as these models have consistently increased in price in recent years.
It has matching frame and engine numbers. We had this verified with Ducati and our databases. In such good original condition it is no longer available on the world market.
The bike runs fantastically and the engine is great—an absolute dream bike.
All documents you see in the photos accompany it. As well as the original Termignoni carbon silencers currently installed on the bike. The original Termignoni aluminum street silencers and the original gold paddock stand.
At the request of a customer, new tires were mounted in 2022. The first old tires from 1994 are still present and in good condition, see photos.
The vehicle is in perfect condition and completely unrestored. Only on the right side of the rear wheel rim, next to the Ducati racing lettering, there is a small dent—paint lifted on that spot.

Upon buyer’s request, we can arrange a new 21st TÜV inspection. Since it did not receive registration with the old 21st TÜV Nord certificate, the old TÜV Nord certificate from 2022 has expired. The previous owner wanted it to sit in his collection as a 1st-hand vehicle and not be driven.
We will of course arrange this free of charge for the new owner if desired. The certificate confirms the correct chassis number for new registration in Germany. The Italian registration authority apparently made a swap in 2001, putting a 1 in the Italian vehicle register. The new 21st TÜV certificate naturally confirms the digit reversal, the error of the Italian registration office. As seen in the old certificate already in the photos. We have often seen this with Italian 916s. With the new 21st TÜV certificate the vehicle can be registered in Germany by the new owner without any problems.
If you are a buyer outside Germany, you will still need to obtain a complete inspection certificate in your own country from your TÜV authority, as is customary for export vehicles, if you intend to register or drive the bike.
Viewing by appointment is possible.
Pickup and shipping only by the buyer.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
