artbyabd - Metamorphose

Artist Abdoul Ouattara
Title of the work Metamorphosis
Dimensions: 100 x 80 cm
I started this work with a vision.

I wanted this face to be not just a portrait.

But a story of transformation.

Of evolution.

Of renaissance.

The turtle represents wisdom.

The fish, our dreams that swim beneath the surface and that we wish to bring to light.

The patterns of the scarf, our identity, what shapes us.

The water that flows, the time that transforms everything.

Metamorphosis is my answer to the question:

who are we deep down and on the surface
