Description from the seller
Title: Still Life with Candlestick and Lemons
Artist: Kirsty Wain
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
Dimensions: 30 x 40 x 1 cm
An expressive, vibrant original acrylic painting titled Still Life with Candlestick and Lemons by contemporary artist Kirsty Wain.
Deeply inspired by the bold, unnatural colour palettes of Fauvism and the warm, sun-drenched aesthetic of Mediterranean interiors, this piece captures an enchanting tabletop scene. Set against an energetic, pastel-teal background featuring vertical light strokes and a dynamic zigzag pattern below, the artwork centers on a vivid magenta round table. Atop the table sits an elegant dark candlestick topped with a burning candle, three sun-yellow lemons displayed on a decorative orange dish, and a rich red vessel.
Wain’s confident brushwork and rich saturation bring warmth and modern charm to any art collection.

About the Artist
Kirsty Wain is a British painter currently living and working in Spain. Deeply connected to the Mediterranean landscape, her work offers an expressive, emotive interpretation of the surrounding environment. Drawing strong inspiration from Post-Impressionism and the bold colour theory of Fauvism, Wain uses vibrant hues, textured application, and fluid line work to capture the intrinsic energy, spirit, and light of a location. Her paintings, frequently focused on ancient olive groves, hillside pines, and sweeping terrains—seek to translate fleeting personal moments and deep emotional ties to place directly onto the canvas.
Wain’s distinct visual language continues to gain international visibility, and her paintings are held in private collections around the world.
