Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
A diverse collection of 31 vintage ink bottles and pots dating to 1930–1940, made of glass, in reasonable used condition with possible missing small parts.
Description from the seller
A large varied collection of a total of 31 vintage and antique ink bottles and ink pots.
The collection of ink pots largely dates from the 1930s to 1940s and includes several distinctive brand specimens and antique models. Among the highlights are, among others, a lovely Pelikan bottle 'Encre de Chine à la Perle Noire', an authentic Swan Ink (Mabie Todd & Co, London) example, and several variants of Gimborn, including the classic fountain pen ink, the washable ink, and the dark-green Gimborn Tinte B1 bottle. In addition, the lot stands out for decorative international additions, such as the charming corked pot of Bill Ink Black and a striking Hungarian example from LFV (Lakk és Festékipari Vállalat).
Besides the branded vintage bottles, the lot also includes heavier, older models; think of solid pressed glass ink pots with authentic metal hinged lids and bottles fitted with a glass stopper or a marble in the neck. The entire collection is in reasonable condition and exudes a beautiful, well-worn character with honest signs of use that match its age. For instance, several pots still show dried ink residues.
