AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Paolo Contin
Emozioni di ricordi lontani
"A dialogue between past and present where colors become memory. The deep red, the bright orange, and the dark blue meet in a balanced and vibrant composition, capable of evoking sensations and images that resurface from time. An work that speaks of suspended emotions, of inner places and memories that, though distant, continue to live in our inner light."

PAOLO CONTIN has developed a personal artistic path in continuous evolution for over twenty-five years. Trained in design and active since 1980 in the world of fashion, he transfers to painting a particular sensitivity to color, form, and compositional balance.

Since 1999 he has exhibited his works, and in 2002 he held his first solo show in Padua. Numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad followed, with appearances in Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, and Sydney.

Paolo Contin's artistic journey is also documented by his inclusion in the Arte Mondadori Catalog with corresponding valuations. Over the years his works have also been published in the Arte Mondadori magazine and in numerous catalogs and volumes produced for solo exhibitions and major art fairs, some of which were published with the support of the Italian Institute of Culture.

He was also among the founding members of "Tostart", an artistic association born from the meeting of ten Veneto artists and active until the period of the Pandemic.

An eclectic and independent artist, Contin has built over the years a recognizable language, distant from belonging to a single school or tendency. His research traverses geometric abstraction, material and gestural painting, alternating rigor and expressive freedom.

Lines, fields, geometric shapes, and intense chromatic relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he investigates balance, movement, and emotion.

Experimentation extends to sculpture and wood as well, with works built through the layering of geometric elements, confirming a research that goes beyond painting alone.

His work continues to evolve today without preset formulas: every piece arises from the desire to preserve freedom, identity, and expressive authenticity.
