Le Yack (Alexandre Pelletier), All the News That's Fit to Print - Hand signed, a 40×40 cm giclée on canvas mounted on a wooden frame, edition limited to 20, year 2026, France, sold directly from the artist, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
In front of a newsstand whose displays saturate the background with a mosaic of covers and headlines, a young brunette with her hair tied up, wearing a sleeveless black dress, stands absorbed in reading a daily paper spread open with two hands. The warm late-afternoon light strikes the bare shoulder and arm, cuts out the profile, and lets the rest of the body slip into the shadow. Semiotics-wise, the tableau stages captive attention: amid the profusion of printed images — dozens of magazines stacked, promises of titles, paper faces — she looks at only one, and the whole world seems to hinge on it. The newsstand becomes a wall of information without a reader, the woman a small island of concentration. The black dress cuts across the mottled display; the warm range of browns, ochres, and dull reds structures a dense composition that illuminated flesh seems to pierce. Precise workmanship, restrained impasto, urban silence with a Hopperesque inspiration.
