Description from the seller
Interesting painting by Mario Rossello (1926–2000), a Ligurian artist from Savona, highly sought after by collectors, characterized by a modern and dynamic pictorial language. The work, created in 1969, stands out for its abstract and strongly gestural composition, in which geometric shapes and diagonals intertwine in an energetic movement. The contrast between the red of the background, the deep blue, and the black and gray areas gives the composition great visual power and a pronounced sense of depth. The decisive brushstroke and the articulated construction of the forms convey a contemporary expressive search, in line with the artistic experiments of the second half of the 20th century. The painting is signed and dated at the bottom right and is documented in the Vincent auction house catalog entry. An interesting work for collectors of Italian modern art and for enthusiasts of postwar abstract painting. A painting with character, featuring an original composition and a color palette of strong impact.-----with frame 70x60
