Depicted are the Notre-Dame Cathedral of Paris and the Madonna of Lourdes, two images particularly representative of French religious history, spirituality, and Marian tradition.

Notes for the collector
Medals produced for Apostolic Journeys constitute a particular and sought-after expression of contemporary papal medallic art.
This specimen stands out for its limited availability: produced in a few copies, it is not normally present in ordinary commercial channels and is rarely available on private collecting markets.
The joint presence of Notre-Dame and the Madonna of Lourdes, combined with the direct reference to Pope Leone XIV’s Apostolic Journey in France, gives the medal particular historical, religious, and collecting interest.
A specimen of notable charm for a collection dedicated to the Pontificate of Leone XIV and to the medallic art of Apostolic Journeys.
Provenance
The medal is not sold on behalf of the Holy See, the State of Vatican City or other ecclesiastical bodies, but comes from a private collection.
