French artist whose works have been presented in numerous exhibitions and publications in Europe, the Americas and Asia. His work has also been highlighted on British television Channel 4, in the program “Huge Homes with Hugh Dennis.”

His work sits within a research into image, collective memory and the traces left by time. Drawing inspiration from 20th-century images, Bazévian explores their transformation, alteration and reinterpretation through a personal pictorial language.

Between collective memory and personal history, his work evokes oxidized, erased or time-transformed images. The gaze becomes presence, texture becomes light, and each image reactivated by imagination gradually transforms into a new memory.

Bazévian thus develops a singular and sensitive universe, at the border between figuration and abstraction, where fragments of the past become the starting point for a contemporary and personal œuvre.
