Ludwig Jaeger (XX) - Steinadlerpaar auf Felsenhorst

Pair of Golden Eagles on a rocky cliff roost (also known as a pair of golden eagles in the nest or eagles on a rock cliff)

The work presents a classical and faithful depiction of two golden eagles on a barren rocky outcrop in the high mountains. One bird sits in profile, looking attentively to the right, while the front eagle stands on the rock edge with its beak open. In the background a mountainous, grayish atmosphere hints at weather.
