Marco Valeri (1951) - Gioco di Luci

Marco Valeri (Rome, 1951), Italian painter, sculptor and draftsman. He paints in oil exclusively with a spatula. He has held solo and group exhibitions, has received several recognitions, and some art critics have written about him.
"Gioco di luci," oil on canvas, 2005. A steep alley of a lakeside village descends between colorful houses, wrought-iron balconies and flowering climbing plants to an intensely blue lake, enclosed by mountains in the background. The color is applied with a spatula in thick impasto, and the contrasts between shadow and light give the work its title.
Signature: oil signature at the bottom left.
On the back: guarantee certificate "original oil painting" with title, year, size, signature and artist stamps ("Marco Valeri – painter, sculptor, draftsman – Rome"). On the canvas there is also the autograph declaration "This painting was executed by me," signed and dated 2005.
Dimensions of the painting: 70 × 50 cm.
Provenance: private collection, Rome.
Condition: excellent. Color intact, with no craquelure or losses. On the back, normal signs of aging on the backing paper of the frame.
