Description from the seller
Beautifully decorated wooden coffee/tea table, presumably originating from India and dating to the 20th century.
The tabletop features an elaborate hand-painted court scene inspired by Persian and Mughal miniature painting, depicting a ruler surrounded by courtiers, musicians and attendants within a richly detailed palace garden.
The colourful composition is framed by delicate gold-toned floral ornaments, with matching hand-painted decorations extending to the legs and connecting elements.
The entire table folds flat for convenient storage or transport and is sturdy and stable when unfolded.
In good vintage condition, showing signs of age and use, including minor scratches, surface wear and small imperfections along the edges. The painted decoration remains largely well preserved.
Made of hand-painted wood, measuring 76 × 46 × 28 cm (W × D × H) and weighing approximately 5.8 kg.
