Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Etro shoulder bag in a baguette shape, crafted from mixed fabric with leather trims, featuring a jacquard navetta body in multicolour Paisley Arnica motif, a central embroidered panel with micro-beads and iridescent sequins, and a bottom row of burgundy feathers; dimensions 27 cm by 12 cm by 4 cm, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
This refined shoulder bag signed Etro Milano represents a perfect example of Boho-Chic style and the artisanal craftsmanship that distinguish the famous Italian house.
The body of the bag, in the iconic baguette format, is made in shuttle jacquard fabric (gobelin/tapestry technique) with the famous Paisley motif (called Arnica by the Etro house), that is the Paisley drop which is the emblem of the Etro house. The color palette ranges from burgundy to olive green, ochre, rust, and brown.
What makes the piece unique and highly impactful is the precious central decorative panel: a hand-embroidered band with ethnic-geometric motifs embellished with micro-beads and iridescent sequins, which create delicate points of light as it moves.
The lower edge is enriched by a sophisticated haute-couture detail, consisting of slender burgundy-toned feathers hanging in tone-on-tone shades, which adds dynamism and a touch of haute couture inspiration.
From a stylistic and historical perspective, the model dates back to the early 2000s (circa 2002-2008) and bears the signature of the creative director Veronica Etro, known for introducing in women’s collections the use of feathers, beadwork, and opulent embroidery on fabrics from the family archive.
