Description from the seller
The Candle I Cannot Drink
I hold the glass steady, though the flame inside it has long since learned to smoke without burning. Half of me is painted in cool, knowing blue - the other half dissolves into geometry, into leaves that grow from fractured thought, into a skull that watches from the corner of what I used to call my mind. The brushwork is luminous and deliberate, colours bold yet bruised at their edges. I stand between what is seen and what is imagined, neither fully present nor entirely lost.
-- Dimensions: 120 x 80 x 2.5 cm
-- Mounting: Professionally hand-stretched on a wooden chassis.
-- Framing: None (no external frame); painted edges ready for display.
-- Medium: Premium artists' oil colors on fine canvas.
-- Style: Psychological Surrealism with a smooth brush texture.
-- Authentication: Signed 'Enigma' on reverse with title and year.

About the Artist
Enigma is an Italian surrealist working across dream, disruption, and wit - never settling into one mood or one way of seeing. Some paintings are quiet and symbolic, others catch a moment coming apart mid-motion, others turn a playful, knowing eye on art history itself. What unites the work isn't a single style but a single instinct: reality treated as something soft enough to bend, fracture, or reimagine - rendered always in smooth, luminous brushwork and bold, contrasting color. Every canvas is one of a kind, never repeated.
