Statement:
As the transgressor of contemporary pop-surrealism, I develop a work that subverts the codes of art and popular culture. Through vibrant graphics and the imagery of Pop Art, I appropriate iconic references to disarm them, decontextualize them, and return them to the present as an uncomfortable reflection of our reality.
I deliberately ignore any ideological or cultural legacy of the past, because I am not seeking to pay homage, but to question, provoke, and rewrite their meanings.
I turn to collage as a starting point, not only as a visual technique, but as a declaration of rupture. It is in that initial pause that a rich aesthetic emerges—rich in materials, technical solutions, and unexpected combinations—that, without needing to answer to an established order, forms a spontaneous, irreverent, and deeply contemporary visual language.
My work intrudes on symbols, dismantles the sacred, and turns the recognizable into an object of reflection, irony, or contradiction. I do not seek answers; I generate frictions. For in the clash between the iconic and the absurd, between the revered and the banal, the distorted mirror of our time emerges. My collages are aimed at those who turned freedom into a form of resistance and who still recognize themselves in the dreams, excesses, contradictions, and cultural conquests of the decades that transformed the twentieth century. It is also a homage to those who survived the pandemic without renouncing their identity, their memory, or their desire to live fully.
