The body of the ladybug is entirely hand-modeled by the Venetian glass masters. The shell stands out for an intense ruby-red coloration, characterized by a deep transparency that captures light and returns unique reflections from every angle. The classic spots of the ladybug are created by inlaying authentic murrine into the glass, tiny masterpieces of geometric precision that attest to the complex and centuries-old technique of Murano cane-work. To contrast the warm vibrancy of the glass, the head and the base of the sculpture are finely crafted in polished silver.
