The Macallan Rare Cask Batch No. 1 – 2018 Release is the first edition in The Macallan’s revamped annual batch series. Since 2018, both batch numbers and release years have been clearly indicated on the packaging, significantly enhancing the collectible value of this release.
This edition comes from just 50 carefully selected sherry-seasoned oak butts, showcasing The Macallan’s “art of the cask” and its uncompromising commitment to the finest quality wood, from acorn to cask.
All casks used are sherry-seasoned and hand-selected by the whisky makers at the perfect stage of maturation. They contribute not only the whisky’s full, natural mahogany colour but also the rich, complex flavour profile for which Rare Cask is renowned.

Aroma
