Beautiful and unique vintage candle holder in Mid-Century Modern style from the 1950s/1960s. The object features a very dynamic and asymmetrical geometric design typical for this design period.
The candle holder is made from a very light wood species and finished with a warm lacquer and brass accents. Unique to this lot is that the two original wooden "namaakkaarsen" (hulzen) are still present and removable. The inner diameter of the opening is approximately 18 mm, suitable for slim dinner candles.
Condition:
In good, original vintage condition with nice patina. Light, age-related signs of use on the lacquer/edges, appropriate to the age and the soft wood species (see photos).

Prachtige en unieke vintage kandelaar in Mid-Century Modern stijl uit de jaren 1950/1960. Het object heeft een zeer dynamisch en asymmetrisch geometrisch ontwerp dat typerend is voor deze designperiode.
De kandelaar is vervaardigd uit een zeer lichte houtsoort en afgewerkt met een warme laklaag en messing accenten. Uniek aan dit kavel is dat de twee originele houten "namaakkaarsen" (hulzen) nog aanwezig en uitneembaar zijn. De binnendiameter van de opening is ca. 18 mm, geschikt voor smalle dinerkaarsen.
Conditie:
In goede, originele vintage staat met mooie patina. Lichte, ouderdomsgerichte gebruikssporen op de lak/randen, passend bij de leeftijd en de zachte houtsoort (zie foto's).
