Beautiful pair of two monumental Japanese Satsuma vases, 32 cm high.
Both vases are richly decorated with traditional scenes and display splendid gilding and refined details:
Vase 1: Richly decorated in high relief (Moriage technique) with images of Kannon / sages and warriors against a dark backdrop. Marked at the bottom ("Made in Japan").
Vase 2: Elegantly executed on a warm chestnut-brown/chocolate-colored ground with noble figures/scholars in a mountain landscape. At the bottom supplied with an authentic cartouche stamp.
