Description from the seller
Very attractive poster for the annual theater festival in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, The Hague and Utrecht.
With an extravagant style of a sensuous woman and dripping paint, this poster is a design crafted by Studio Rios Zetuche. Developed by Luis Xertu (also known by his full name Luis Alonso Rios Zetuche), who created several advertising posters for this traveling theater festival.
This festival took place in the summer months in the four Dutch cities Rotterdam, Amsterdam, The Hague and Utrecht.
The festival grounds look like a fair with the many fair tents, a swing carousel and world restaurants. In the tents, a varied program of art, theatre and music is offered.
De Parade originated from the international traveling theater festival Boulevard of Broken Dreams, which existed between 1984 and 1987. In the summer of 2010, De Parade celebrated its 20th anniversary with 258,000 visitors.
Prominent Parade acts include De Levende Jukebox, Loes Luca with Nenette et les Zezettes, Orkater, Pierre van Duijl with his Dopegezinde Gemeente, Van Houts en De Ket, Hendrick Jan de Stuntman, Ellen ten Damme and the Silent Disco.
