Description from the seller
RACE REFLECTION
2026
Unique Work
1/1
"Race Reflection" explores the relationship between the driver, his machine and the universe of motor racing, through a contemporary interpretation of Formula 1.
This creation brings together two visions of the same moment, captured through the driver's helmet. On one side, his intense gaze, symbol of concentration, determination and mastery. On the other, the reflection of his racing environment in the visor: the steering wheel, the cockpit and the track stretching before him.
One driver. Two visions. One race.
Created from an impression in a blue ballpoint drawing style, the work is distinguished by the delicacy of its lines, its hatching and its contrasts, evoking the aesthetics of the contemporary automotive sketch.
Thanks to a folding technique inspired by the agamograph, the two representations reveal themselves successively depending on the viewing angle. As you move in front of the work, the spectator first discovers the driver's eyes behind his visor, then the reflection of his cockpit and the circuit, as if gradually shifting from the driver's gaze to his own view of the race.
This three-dimensional illusion transforms a static composition into a vivid visual experience, where every change of perspective reveals a new dimension of motor racing.
Created by Cartist, a young emerging French artist, “Race Reflection” sits within a new collection dedicated to three-dimensional automotive art, combining graphic creation, manual craftsmanship and optical illusion.
This work is absolutely UNIQUE, produced in a single copy worldwide (1/1). It will never be reproduced identically.
Beyond its visual impact, “Race Reflection” pays homage to the human dimension of motor sport. Behind every machine stands a driver, whose concentration, reflexes and decisions can tipping a race in a fraction of a second.
The work thus invites the spectator to discover two facets of the same moment: the intensity of the gaze of the person at the wheel and the view of the track that unfolds before him.
One gaze. One reflection. All the intensity of a race.
Presented in an elegant black frame, the work is ready to be hung. It will be carefully protected and shipped in reinforced packaging, adapted to its three-dimensional structure.
Colors and visual effects may vary slightly depending on lighting and viewing angle.
