You are bidding on a very fine and rare 3/4 violin, labeled Giovanni Pistucci Napoli 1918. The instrument is in ready to play condition with some tears and wears but no cracks.
The violin has an excellent straight medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of strongly flamed maple. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The whole length of the violin is 552 mm and the back 333 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 155 mm; middle bouts: 104 mm; lower bouts: 193 mm.
