Laurent Anastay Ponsolle’s original 2023 expressionist painting Volte Face, an acrylic and charcoal work in black, white and beige, measuring 210 by 135 cm, signed by hand on the back and shipped rolled without a frame with an authenticity certificate emailed.
Description from the seller
Young artist showcased at the Centre Pompidou in September 2025 for the day dedicated to French Young Creation, Laurent Anastay-Ponsolle is a French expressionist artist born in 1982. Drawing, painting, collage, performance are the languages he explores with vigor and spontaneity.
This work is the fruit of a performance with contemporary dancer Mathilde Plateau. It is a painting made with acrylic and charcoal. Between automatic writing and choreographed gesture, the artist paints and draws in motion, letting himself be carried by the dancer’s movements.
To better discover the approach, here is a video of another performance given at the Carreau du Temple in Paris:

The whole is a very "raw", "raw-edged", and "sensitive" whole, qualities inherent to German figurative expressionism, a current into which the artist fully places himself. It is also a homage to Yves Saint Laurent’s creations, a designer whom the artist deeply admires.
It is signed on the back, in the artist’s hand.
Exceptionally, the artwork will be shipped without its stretcher, rolled and protected in a box with bubble wrap. Fast and careful shipment. It is also accompanied by an authenticity certificate signed by the artist, which will be sent by email.
Figurative expressionism, contemporary dance, hands, night, desire, love, hands, artistic nude, Schiele, Munch, Kirchner, Yves Saint Laurent.
