de LAPRESLE’s original 2026 oil painting, *Les iris oranges*, depicts orange-red irises against luminous blue water.
Description from the seller
I learned the oil painting technique at the Fine Arts workshops of the City of Paris with exceptional teachers such as Didier Picketty, André Bouzereau or François Bard.
I attended the Montparnasse workshop and the one in Belleville.
The courses focused on teaching the nude figure and still lifes.
I learned color harmony, composition and the development of value in the painting, shadow and light.
Then I worked on the landscape from the motif and by observing Nature.
Little by little, while remaining faithful to figurative art, I worked on landscape from photos and the memory of what I saw. What matters is to transmit emotion from the sensation experienced.
I frequent museums and contemporary art fairs and strive to stay at the forefront of art by following exhibitions in Paris and internationally.
I have worked in artist collectives and in a shared studio (le 100ecs).
I have my studio near La Défense.
The canvas represents iris all over.
In the background, water lilies are sketched and painted in a soft color range, from pale pink to beige, in contrast with the red-orange of the flowers.
The blue of the water is luminous and gives clarity to the canvas.
