This museum-worthy collectible of French jewelry art comes from the hand of the renowned Parisian designer Maryse Blanchard, who in the 1950s to 1970s designed exquisite costume jewelry for leading French haute couture houses.
Signed pieces from this house are on the market very rarely and are regarded by collectors as absolute rarities. The three-row necklace captivates with its multi-layered composition of snow-white glass wax pearls and striking green-mottled glass beads, each set in fine gold-plated filigree bead caps.
As a sumptuous centerpiece lies the floral-designed jewelry clasp, richly adorned with green navette glass stones, a central cabochon, and sparkling rhinestones in brilliant-cut. The clasp bears on the back the clear designer stamp Maryse Blanchard. The piece presents in excellent top condition, with the gilding beautifully preserved, all stones present, and the snap clasp closes perfectly.
