Description from the seller

Turquoise, Lapis-lazuli and Howlite – Egyptian necklace - Pendant - Ankh Cross and Eye of Horus – Eternal life and Clairvoyance.

This Egyptian necklace stands out for a singular composition of natural stones combining turquoise, lapis-lazuli and turquoise howlite.

It is made up of 65 beads with somewhat crafted shapes, faceted rounds, ribbed olive shapes, irregular polygonal forms, alternating with elaborately worked golden beads.

The turquoise is distinguished by its bright hues, ranging from heavenly blue, blue turquoise to pale green-blue. Its polished surfaces reveal visible natural matrices, forming delicate networks of cream, sandy and reddish-brown veining.

The lapis-lazuli adds further depth to the composition with its deep blue, sometimes slightly violet tint, punctuated by grayish nuances and lighter veining. Presented in the form of small cube beads, a round bead and a discoidal element, it subtly underscores the contrasts of the necklace.

The turquoise howlite...

The whole is paired with small finely filigreed golden beads, which highlight each stone and bring a luminous touch to this antique-inspired composition.

At the center of the necklace unfolds a bronze-gilded pendant, finely worked, combining two major symbols of ancient Egyptian civilization: the Ankh cross and the Eye of Horus.

The Ankh cross, also called the cross of life, is recognizable by its loop at the top, here pierced and outlined with geometric relief motifs. Its horizontal bar has flared ends, while its lower, elongated and tapered section is enriched with sculpted decorations in symmetrical lines.

At the intersection of its branches sits a relief Eye of Horus, delicately drawn, with defined contours and its characteristic extensions.

Bronze work alternates polished surfaces, pronounced reliefs and slightly recessed parts, revealing a beautiful golden color with warm reflections.

To know,

In ancient Egypt, the Ankh symbolized life, vital force and eternal existence. Often depicted in the hands of deities, it also evoked the breath of life and the passage to the afterlife.

The Eye of Horus, also called Oudjat, was a powerful symbol of protection, healing and restoration. Associated with the god Horus, it represented return to integrity, divine vigilance and the triumph of order over chaos.

United on a single pendant, these two symbols evoke sacred protection, the renewal of life and the continuity of existence.

Since antiquity, blue and green stones have held an important place in ornamental and spiritual traditions. They are associated with the celestial realm, royalty and the sacred. They traditionally evoke wisdom, truth and spiritual elevation.

Particularly valued in ancient Egypt, turquoise was used in adornments and amulets. It symbolized protection, joy and renewal.

Thus this necklace brings together an expressive mineral composition and ancient Egyptian symbolism, in an ensemble that is both ornamental and spiritual.
