Description from the seller
Remo Brindisi (1918–1996) – Venice
Oil painting on canvas, Italian painter Remo Brindisi (Rome, 1918 – Lido di Spina, 1996), depicting a suggestive view of Venice.
The work presents a dynamic and original composition, characterized by Venetian architectures, domes, bell towers, and lagoon views, interpreted through an expressive painterly language and a personal perspective.
Particularly interesting is the use of intense blue and turquoise tones, paired with luminous whites, yellows, and strong dark outlines. The brushwork is energetic and tactile, with evident reliefs of color.
Characteristics of the work:
- Artist: Remo Brindisi (1918–1996)
- Descriptive title: Venice
- Medium: oil on canvas
- Era: 20th century, precise dating not established
- Signature: Brindisi, at bottom left
- Reported dimensions: 60 × 50 cm (height × width, to be verified if including the frame)
- Conditions: good overall condition, with slight signs of aging and small surface imperfections visible in the photographs
- Frame: included, silver finish
On the back of the canvas there are handwritten pencil inscriptions, including a note apparently referring to the authenticity of the work and a signature to be verified.
The work is offered with its frame, as shown in the photographs.
The photographs are an integral part of the description and document the painting’s condition.
