Splendid and iconic ice bucket in the shape of a large owl, standard size, designed by Hans Turnwald for the famous Swiss brand Freddotherm in the 1970s.

This specimen stands out clearly from the more common imitations or lightweight plastic variants: it is indeed the sought-after heavy version in cast metal (weight a substantial 1.557 kg), characterized by finely relief-carved feather details and large eyes in yellow lucite that are exceptionally expressive and brilliant.

The bucket guarantees maximum collectibility thanks to the presence of the original double markings:

1. Original metal plaque inset in the black felt at the base: "Freddotherm - SWISS PATENT - INTERNATIONAL".

2. Brand impressed in relief inside the lid: "Freddotherm SWISS Pat.".

The item presents well in overall vintage condition, solid, clean and perfectly usable.
The inner thermo-plastic white bucket is in impeccable condition, free of cracks or yellowing.
As clearly shown in the detailed macro photos (which are an integral part of the description), there are normal signs of aging consistent with an authentic piece from fifty years ago: a missing plating on the tip of the left leg, slight wear from rubbing on the silver-plated edge along the protruding brow of the left eyebrow, and a micro-chipped nick on the lower part of the beak.
