Description from the seller

Opulent Still Life with Roses in a Bulbous Vase

An expressive and dynamic still life showing a lush arrangement of purple and pink roses. The work captivates with a fascinating interplay of a pastel, textured background and strong, dark magenta tones in the blossoms and leaves. Typical for Lemke's floral-decorative oeuvre is the bold, partly relief-like brushwork, which gives the subject depth and liveliness.
