Description from the seller
Enrico Manfrini - Rare Golden Bas‑Relief Bust of Jesus Christ, with Official Cartouche of the 2000 Jubilee Ostension. Splendid and solemn half‑length bas‑relief depicting Jesus Christ with a likeness and iconographic traits faithfully inspired by the Man of the Holy Shroud. The work is signed in relief at the bottom right by the celebrated Italian sculptor Enrico Manfrini (1917-2004), internationally known as "the Sculptor of the Popes" for his numerous pontifical and ecclesiastical commissions. The metal plaque measures 16x21 cm and weighs 486 grams. It features a beautiful and bright galvanic gilding and is mounted on an original black mat prepared for wall display. A highly rare collectible item: The lot includes on the back the very rare official cartouche of thanks issued by the Archdiocese of Turin on the occasion of the Solemn Ostension of the Holy Shroud (August 12 – October 22, 2000) in the Year of the Great Jubilee. The document bears the (reproduced) signature of the then Archbishop, Cardinal Severino Poletto, and was intended exclusively as an institutional gift limited to the most trusted collaborators and volunteers of the event. The presence of this intact cartouche acts as an absolute provenance certificate and guarantees its historical and temporal authenticity. Item in perfect conservation condition, well preserved, free of scratches or oxidations. An indispensable piece for collectors of contemporary sacred art or Vatican memorabilia.”}{}?} Wait, format: Should return only JSON with one key. Oops stray. Remove extra. The last part stray.
