Description from the seller

Buddha – Subson’Ink – Diptych skateboard art – Unique original artwork

Diptyque original titled “Buddha,” created by the artist Subson’Ink on two skateboard decks.

This work depicts a Buddha face with half-closed eyes, in an expression of serenity and meditation. The composition unfolds across two boards placed side by side, whose joining reveals a perfectly symmetrical portrait.

The artist blends the aesthetics of traditional tattooing, ornamental illustration, and Buddhist iconography to transform two skateboards into a contemporary mural-like piece.

A richly detailed composition

The Buddha’s face occupies the center of the piece. It is surrounded by a halo composed of floral and geometric motifs reminiscent of mandalas and traditional Asian ornaments.

The hair, represented by a succession of meticulously drawn curls, contrasts with the delicate lines of the face.

In the lower part, the hands adopt symbolic gestures inspired by mudras, accompanied by circular motifs and stylized characters.

Black foliage frames the composition and adds movement to the whole.

The palette combines orange and copper hues with touches of yellow-green, highlighted by a very precise black graphic work.

Pointillism effects and gradients testify to an aesthetic directly inspired by the world of tattooing.

An original and unique work

This diptych consists of two original boards forming a single artwork.

This is not an industrial edition or a serial reproduction, but a unique artistic creation by Subson’Ink.

The peculiarity of this piece lies in its composition: each board hosts half of the face, and their pairing gives rise to the complete portrait.

The skateboards thus become a fully-fledged artistic medium, at the intersection of street art, illustration, and spiritual imagery.
