AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Minchiate Fiorentine
FLORENTINE TAROT
97 cards
Limited edition of 2000 copies (our number 0386)
The playing cards are divided into:
56 Cartiglia, 40 Tarots and the Fool card.
The Cartiglia consists of the four series (of 14 cards each) of Spades, Clubs, Diamonds and Hearts. The numerals run from 1 to 10, plus Page or Queen. It should be noted that, unlike the Tarot, the Knight in Minchiate is a fantastical figure: half man and half horse or other animal.
In the Diamonds and Cups the Page is replaced by a Queen.
The Tarot court cards carry Roman numerals from I to XXXV. The other five cards to reach 40 (called Arie) are: The Star, The Moon, The Sun, The World and The Trumpets; they carry no numeration and have a colored back instead of white.
DIMENSIONS OF THE WOODEN BOX
Height 6.5 cm
Width 11 cm
Depth 7.5 cm
CONDITION: Excellent — This vintage piece is in its original condition.
