Von Wright Brothers
The von Wright brothers were five Finnish brothers, of whom three were known artists: Magnus von Wright (1805-1868), Wilhelm von Wright (1810-1887) and Ferdinand von Wright (1822-1906). These ornithologists, scientists, naturalist illustrators and artists were born in Haminalahti near Kuopio in Finland. Magnus and Wilhelm von Wright began the illustrated work Svenska Foglar ("Swedish Birds") in August 1828. The work was funded by Count Nils Bonde. The work was completed in 1838 and contains 178 lithographs.

The von Wright family is a Swedish-Finnish noble family founded by the Scotsman George Wright, who emigrated from Dundee to Narva in Estonia governed by Sweden, in the mid-17th century. The grandchildren of Wright (and their descendants) through his son Henrik would have acquired the noble particle von Wright.
