Coppery-bronze bas-relief depicting the Meeting between Dante and Beatrice on the Ponte Santa Trinita in Florence, inspired by the celebrated painting by the English painter Henry Holiday.

Main characteristics of the work

The subject: Dante Alighieri meeting Beatrice Portinari accompanied by two other ladies on the Ponte Santa Trinita in Florence, an episode inspired by Vita Nuova.
These plaques were produced and distributed in the first half of the 20th century by Florentine art foundries, stamped on the back with the inscription "G. Innocenti - Vietata La Riproduzione Meccanica".
The signature in the lower right is incised in relief.
The material consists of castings in coppery bronze.
