MUMA - Transparencias 57 (XL)

In the series "Transparencies" we explore not form as something closed, but as a place of encounter. We work with layers that cross, brush against each other, and transform within themselves, where color ceases to be a fixed identity and becomes something alive, unstable, deeply relational. What appears is not the sum of isolated elements, but what happens in that intermediate space, almost invisible, where everything blends and redefines itself.

Transparency, here, is not a simple visual effect, but a way of being and thinking about the world. Nothing remains intact: each plane modifies the other and is, in turn, modified. We are interested in that moment when things stop being what they were to become something else, that place where identity becomes permeable, open, in constant transformation.

From there, the work also speaks of us. About how we construct ourselves in relation to others, how we are never entirely sharp nor completely opaque. We are layers, crossings, feelings that intertwine. We cross through, reveal ourselves, hide, and change. And it is precisely in that shared, fragile, changing space where something more honest appears: a way of being that is not fixed, but continually built in the encounter.

About MUMA:

MUMA is an artistic duo formed by a Generalist 3D and Designer and an Art Historian, both trained at CEU San Pablo University in Madrid. Their artistic practice focuses on the visual arts, with special interest in color, movement, and the dynamism of forms, as well as variations of the environment. Their work is conceived to integrate into space and establish a direct dialogue with routine and human experience, exploring a vital vision linked to the ideals of impressionism, such as the relationship with nature, color, and changing environments. MUMA is connected to the professional world of digital and plastic arts in Madrid, with participation in competitions.

On preparation, packaging and shipping of the work:

The work is hand-signed by the artistic duo and comes with a certificate of authenticity also signed by them. The canvas, rolled, is carefully packed in a sturdy cardboard tube and will be shipped within three business days after purchase confirmation. The estimated delivery time will depend on the destination and the chosen shipping company.
